Fundraiser Volunteers & Donations Needed

General Volunteer Positions Needed:

These positions need to be filled as soon as possible.  Please call the parish office for more information at 920-485-0694.

***  Catechists - they teach, but there is no need to have a teaching degree.  Catechists are needed for Sacred Heart for grades K-11 (as well as at St. Matthew, grades 1-9).

***  Advertising Person - someone to help get info to the newspapers, radio stations for a variety of events such as fish fries, chili supper, rummage sale, etc.  Also, need to be able to organize other volunteers to help place posters on public bulletin boards.  Should be knowledgeable with the use of email and fax, and be willing to talk on the phone with people at the newspapers, radio stations and other volunteers.

***  Mass Ministers - Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Cantors, Choir members are needed for all Masses: including weekends, weekdays, holy days, funerals and weddings.

 

Fundraiser Volunteer Positions Needed:

  • Harvest Fest - Sunday, September 17, 2017

Raffle Baskets - will be on display during office hours and before/after weekend Masses in Horicon beginning early August.  Tickets are $2 each, or 3/$5, or 8/$10 and can be purchased during the display hours.  No need to be present to win.

Arts and Crafts Donations - items hand made by parishioners, family and friends are welcomed.  Delivery of items are accepted July through Friday at noon prior to the festival.  When delivering items, please include name of artist (even if you wish to be anonymous), title of the item, suggest price of the item, and phone number.  Items that do not sell will be returned to the artist because Sacred Heart Parish doesn't have storage space for items as these.

Harvest Market Donations - items such as bars, cookies, breads, cakes, pies, fresh grown produce, jams, etc. are all accepted.  Please label items if there are nuts or not for the allergy conscious buyers.  Sorry, we don't have refrigeration space for "tortes" or items that need to be kept cool.  Donations are accepted in bulk (pans and dishes must be labeled for return) or if you'd like to pre-package, please use non-returnable packaging.  Watch bulletin for delivery dates and times.

  • Fish Fries 2017

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and / or enjoyed dining at all our fish fries this year!  we raised over $5,700 for Youth Ministry and activities and General Ministry Fund support.  Look for more fish fries to return in 2018.

 

 

  • Chili Supper 2017

Thank you to all the volunteers, raffle ticket buyers and diners of our Chili Supper! 

 

 

  • Annual Rummage Sale and Brat Fry -- June 2017

-- Rummage Sale Donations — accepted beginning May 22, 2017.

-- Volunteers for working the event as well as set up and clean up will be posted mid-May in the Narthex.

-- Baked Goods Donations - items such as bars and cookies are all accepted.  Please label items if there are nuts or not for the allergy conscious buyers.  Sorry, we don't have refrigeration space for "tortes" or items that need to be kept cool.  Donations are accepted in bulk (pans and dishes must be labeled for return) or if you'd like to pre-package, please use non-returnable packaging.  Deliver baked goods donations on Wednesday, 8:30am-8pm or Thursday, 8:30am-11am (the week of the sale/fry).
