The Sacred Heart Food Pantry serves over 60 families each month with non-perishable foods and products. These families are from the Iron Ridge, Horicon, Juneau and Burnett communities of various faiths. Also, each Thanksgiving and Easter, about 40 families receive a special basket of food, and children of these families qualify for Giving Tree gifts at Christmas and for Gift Baskets at Easter.
You can donate to this ministry in multiple ways!
- You can donate non-perishable foods and products that are not expired and do not have damaged packaging, by delivering them to the table near the kitchen during Parish Office hours or before/after Mass.
- Donations of fresh produce from your gardens can also be arranged. Please call the Parish Office to coordinate these donations.
- You can also contribute monetary donations electronically via our Parish WeShare program, or by giving donations clearly labeled for the food pantry either in the mail or by dropping them in the collection basket. (Checks should be made payable to "Sacred Heart" and use the memo line or include a note to designate it as a food pantry donation.)
Volunteers are always needed for this ministry. If interested, please contact the Parish Office for more details.
If you are a family in need of utilizing the food pantry, please call the Parish Office for more information on how to register. Our only requirement is that you must live in the geographical area we service, Iron Ridge, Horicon, Juneau and Burnett, so proof of residency is required.
