Dear friends in Christ,

My name is Father Zachary Galante, and I am blessed to be assigned by Archbishop Grob as your new Associate Pastor. I started in the parishes on Monday, July 14th. I was ordained to the priesthood on May 18, 2024. Since ordination, I was assigned for a Summer at St. John Vianney Parish in Brookfield, followed by one last year in Rome to finish my Licentiate in Sacred Theology. I grew up in West Bend, WI, and my home parish is St. Frances Cabrini. I attended in the grade school there from 4K through the
Eighth Grade. My faith in God was deeply nourished at my Catholic grade school. I remember distinctly my First Holy Communion as a moment of strong belief in the Lord’s Real Presence. I had some health struggles in middle school, which had an impact on the
way I viewed the world and my mission in life. I was close to my parish priests, now-Bishop Jeff Haines and Fr. Nathan Reesman, and I loved serving Mass, lecturing, singing, etc. I loved my time at SFC, and I am very excited to learn about your school and meet
the teachers and students in the beginning of the year.

I went to West Bend East High School, where I played tennis (poorly, but for fun), acted in plays and musicals (The Cowardly Lion was my best), sang in singing groups, was heavily involved in the Boy Scouts, participated in an exchange program with a high school in France, and was involved in my parish youth group. I attended several mission trips and Steubenville Youth Conferences during my high school years, and these left a huge impact on my faith. I began to think about priesthood sophomore year.
I attended the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota for college to study International Business, Catholic Studies, and French. While at St. Thomas, I studied abroad three separate times in France and Rome. I loved my time at St. Thomas, and I met many of
my life-long friends there. It was there that I became more of a disciple of the Lord and where my vocation was more fully discerned. After a year of college seminary, I attended St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Milwaukee for year before being asked to study
at the Pontifical North American College in Rome. I came to deeply love parish life over the years of formation through my teaching parishes of Holy Trinity and St. Michael Parishes in Kewaskum. I am looking forward to meeting you all, getting to know your families, and growing in faith together! Know of my prayers for you.

In Christ,

Father Galante
